Welcome to our website!

Blanket America Ministries is a Christian, non profit, tax deductible ministry which collects and distributes donations of coats, blankets, clothing, food, appliances, furniture, and house wares to the Appalachian Region. Financial donations allow us to purchase new Bibles, Christian literature, blankets, coats, shoes, and videos. Donations also provide the means to purchase the fuel required for the over 60,000 miles driven per year for the pick up and delivery of goods.

In September 2003 Blanket Appalachia started in response to the Lord's call to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of the people of the Appalachian Region. We had no identifiable means of financial support but by early November God had provided about $25,000 to purchase blankets, coats, and Bibles. There were 39 volunteers who made the trip to the Appalachian Mountains to work in 6 churches alongside the local volunteers. By 2007, God blessed the ministry abundantly and we were able to distribute 6,000 new coats, 2,200 new Bibles, and 3,300 new blankets. We have been privileged to see over 100 people come to know Christ through this annual ministry.

New and Used Goods

The New and Used Goods Ministry began with a need for food in the Appalachian Region. We asked our church members for food and soon found ourselves under an avalanche of house wares and clothing. Before long we were collecting bedding, computers, appliances, bicycles, furniture, and exercise equipment. Due to the number of donation pick ups requested in our area, the ministry has grown to 3 trailers; 18, 30 and 36 feet in length. We average 2 deliveries per week to the Appalachian Region; a round trip of nearly 600 miles.
